Golden Spike Club™ members who visited the Atlas booth at the York TCA Meet April 17 – 20 got a sneak peak via a special packet, and if you’re reading this, you will, too!

“Behind the Booth” Golden Spike Lounge

In lieu of seminars this York Meet, (Atlas O VP Jim Weaver was abroad planning future O Scale products for your model railroading enjoyment), the “Behind the Booth” area was transformed into the Golden Spike Lounge. Active 2008 members showed their original cards to enter and were checked off on a current master list. They received “Members Only” packets, enjoyed complimentary coffee and refreshments and got to relax and chat with fellow members and Atlas staff.

Everything in the packets will be included in the upcoming newsletter mailing, including:

• A letter from Jim Weaver, explaining the packet contents

• A copy of the front page of the coming club newsletter

• 2008 Special Purchase Loco Announcement/Order form

• Updated O Dealer Listing

The complete newsletter will also include information on membership cards, [Click here to view the 2008 card], the 2008 club car – the 50’ PS-1 Plug Door Box car decorated for Napierville Junction,  Membership Renewal information and an order form for the very first Golden Spike Club™ Shirts! Available in short & long-sleeved versions [View styles here], the shirts are high quality, easy care and will feature the colorful club logo embroidered on the front. An order form will be included in your Spring mailing. Quantities ordered will determine prices. Shirts will be offered in black only, in L, XL, & XXL.

Renewal Time!

NOW is the time to renew your membership for 2008 to take advantage of all the perks and surprises we have in store for the club’s second exciting year! Many 2007 members have already signed up for 2008 via the postcard in the October-November-December 2007 Catalog, or done so online or by phone.

You must renew your membership by April 30, 2008 to meet the order deadline for the 2008 Club Car!

We hope you received and enjoyed the second, expanded Golden Spike Club™ Newsletter, featuring the 2008 club gift on the front page. Articles on the club may also be seen in our online newsletter, the Atlas RR Report, easily accessible via the icon at the top of the home page.

Membership is $50 per year. Be sure to specify 2-Rail or 3-Rail in the Customer Notes. You may also apply by phone during business hours, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, EST. The fee may be paid by check or money order, U.S. funds, made out to “Atlas O, LLC”, or via MasterCard or Visa. An additional $10 shipping charge will be added to cars shipped outside the U.S. (Sorry, American Express and Discover cards are not accepted. Applications are also available at shows Atlas attends. The club is now in its 2^nd year and we are working hard to enhance your membership experience and plan for the future. We are learning as we go and making changes accordingly. For 2009, the Renewal Packet will be mailed earlier, in Nov./Dec. 2008. We urge members to visit www.atlaso.com and sign up for email broadcasts. We will utilize email to send out bulletins when necessary. With the rising costs of postage and more, we are mailing 2008 membership cards with the newsletter shortly. This will allow us to keep the cost of membership stable for the foreseeable future.
